What We Treat
You’ll likely begin in our drug detox clinic, where, under the watchful and learned gaze of our friendly and well-trained staff, you’ll undergo supervised detox. During detox, you body will rid itself of any toxins that might have been left behind the wake of your substance abuse. The severity of this experience will be dictated by your substance of choice and duration of use, as well as your abuse habits. Detox is infamous because it can sometimes be accompanied by the symptoms of withdrawal. These symptoms are often uncomfortable, and in some circumstances, they can even be dangerous. This is where supervised detox becomes invaluable. With supervised detox, when the symptoms of withdrawal become too pronounced, you’ll be able to rely on a member of our staff to help mitigate the discomfort, and your safety will always be ensured.
Our Expertise
Once you’ve completed supervised detox, you’ll be ready for the next stage of treatment at our drug addiction treatment facility. In individual therapy sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with your counsellor in private. There, you’ll be able to discuss any issues that you might be struggling with without fear of someone else finding out. In addition, we also offer group therapy sessions. During these sessions, you’ll meet with your peers in the drug rehab center, and have the opportunity to share your wisdom, and learn from theirs. In fact, many clients find that group sessions provide them with the foundation for their own sober support network.

What Are Some Drug Withdrawal Symptoms?
Continued abuse of drugs or alcohol interferes with the motivation and reward chemistry and circuitry, resulting in drug cravings and dependence.
The symptoms of drug withdrawal, and the length of that withdrawal, vary depending on the drug of abuse and the length of the addiction. These are a few withdrawal symptoms and timelines for major targets of abuse:
- Heroin and prescription painkillers: flu-like symptoms lasting 24-48 hours
- Benzodiazepines: anxiety and/or seizures lasting weeks or (in some cases) months
- Cocaine: depression and restlessness lasting 7-10 days
- Alcohol: tremors and/or seizures lasting three days to several weeks

It depends on the person, but treatment at one of our drug rehab centers lasts from 30 to 90 days. Recovery, however, will last much longer. It is an ongoing process that will not end with treatment. It will be something you work on for the rest of your life. Don’t worry, it gets easier.
Group therapy is essential to any addiction treatment. The group works together in order to provide helpful tips and insight to allow each client to overcome what ails them. No one knows how you feel better than the people who are currently going through it. The empathy you give and receive may last a long time into your aftercare. This kind of assistance and motivation are why we have our clients take part in group therapy.
Dual diagnosis mental health treatment is incredibly integral to any addiction treatment. Nearly half the people who are addicted to a drug or alcohol are also struggling with a coexisting mental disorder that requires careful and professional treatment. After we have effectively uncovered the root cause of your illness, you will have the chance to overcome your addiction and live a happy and healthy life.
